Is it worth repairing an older oven?

Why does my oven run cooler than the setting?
Temperature sensors drift with age, and thermostats lose accuracy. We measure actual cavity temperature against the setpoint. If the gap is small, calibration may fix it. Larger gaps usually mean a sensor or control replacement.
Can you work on gas ovens as well as electric?
Yes. Gas work involves igniters, safety valves, and burner assemblies; electric work centers on elements, relays, and boards. We handle both, and we shut off the supply before opening anything on a gas unit.
Should I keep using the oven until you arrive?
If you smell gas, stop and leave, then call your gas utility first. Otherwise, if the unit trips a breaker, sparks, smokes, or won't unlock, leave it off. Intermittent heating alone is usually safe to wait on.
How long does a typical oven repair take?
